Other than new flagship Galaxy S II smartphone and the new Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet, Samsung also brings the Galaxy S WiFi 4.0 and WiFi 5.0 Android-based portable media players to the MWC 2011, to compete with Apple’s iPod touch. The former looks just like the original Galaxy S and has 4-inch Super Clear LCD touchscreen while the latter is like an enlarged Galaxy S II with a 5-inch large touchscreen display with 800×480 resolution.

Both Android PMPs are powered by 1GHz processor and run Android 2.2 Froyo OS. They support Bluetooth, GPS, WiFi and comes with 16GB/32GB internal memory and a microSD card slot.

ViewSonic ViewPad 10Pro Windows Android Dual-Boot Tablet PC

Along with the dual-SIM V350 Android phone, ViewSonic is going to bring to the MWC 2011 the new Viewpad 10Pro professional tablet PC with dual-boot capability, offering quick switch capability between Windows 7 Professional and Google Android 2.2. The new professional ViewPad is powered by Intel’s Oak Trail processor. It comes with a 1024×600 LED-backlit capacitive multitouch display and supports Bluetooth, WiFi and 3G connectivity.

The ViewPad 10Pro offers at least six hours of battery life. ViewSonic will also show the ViewPad 10s 3G, 3G-capable version of the ViewPad 10, at the MWC 2011.

As you may know, HP has acquired Palm and the company has just announced the TouchPad, the first tablet running the webOS. As a side note, HP is dropping Palm brand so we are not going to see products with Palm logo or branding. The new tablet will be released in Summer and will run webOS 3.0.

The HP TouchPad is powereod by a dual-core Qualcomm SnapDragon APQ8060 1.2GHz processor and 1GB of RAM. It comes with 16GB or 32GB internal storage. The webOS tablet features a 9.7-inch 1024×768 capacitive multitouch display, a 1.3 Megapixel front-facing camera for video calling, A-GPS support (3G model only), Bluetooth 2.1+EDR and WiFi connectivity. There are also light sensor, accelerometer, compass (magnetometer), and gyroscope, internal steeo speakers with Beats Audio and a microUSB connector.

The HP TouchPad comes with internal rechargeable 6300 mAh (typical) battery. HP will release WiFi only version and 3G+WiFi version. The TouchPad will be available this summer.

Brainchild introduces the Kineo, an Android tablet e-book reader created exclusively for education with built-in features that keep schools and students safe. The 7-inch tablet is boosted by a 800MHz dual core processor, 256MB RAM and 2GB internal storage.

The Kineo supports WiFi connectivity. Other than the Galaxy S 4G, T-Mobile also announced more details of the LG G-Slate 4G tablet device with Android 3.0 Honeycomb. The device supports T-Mobile’s HSPA+ network and WiFi connectivity. It is powered by NVIDIA’s Tegra dual-core 1GHz processor and comes with 32GB internal memory.

The G-Slate runs Google’s latest Android 3.0 Honeycomb OS optimized for tablet and includes support for Adobe Flash Player 10.1. T-Mobile revels more details of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S 4G Android smartphone, which is the carrier’s first smartphone supporting the HSPA+ 4G network with up to peak download speeds of up to 21 Mbps, offering enhanced mobile experiences and unparalleled entertainment including mobile HD TV through T-Mobile TV.

Like the original Galaxy S, the new 4G model is powered by the 1GHz Samsung Cortex A8 Hummingbird processor and runs Android 2.2. It features a 4-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen, a 5 Megapixel camera, an ST-Ericsson M5720 HSPA+ 4G modem, a pre-installed 16GB microSD memory card slot. Epson announced the PowerLite 905 and PowerLite 915W, two new ultra-bright projectors for the classroom. The former has XGA resolution and 3000 lumens while the 915W offers WXGA 1280×800 resolution and 3200 lumens. Both of them are based on 3-chip 3LCD display technology to deliver true-to-life color.

Dell is going to release the Streak 7 Android tablet device, following the original Streak Mini 5. The new Streak 7 features a 7-inch multitouch display with Gorilla Glass, a 5 Megapixel auto focus camera with flash, and a 1.3 Megapixel front camera for video chats. Heading to T-Mobile USA on 2 February for $199.99 with 2 year contract, the tablet supports the carrier’s 3G and HSPA + 4G networks (2100/1900/AWS/850).
