ViewSonic unveiled at the CES 2012 its ViewPad e70 tablet running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system. Powered by a single-core 1GHz processor and 512MB RAM, the slim e70 has 4GB onboard storage. It comes with a 7-inch 800×480 capacitive touchscreen and provides microHDMI output.
The 7-inch ICS tablet has a front-facing camera and support WiFi connectivity. It has microSD/SDHC card slot. The ViewPad e70 will be available in late Q1 for $169.99.

AT&T will released on 22 January the Pantech Element, an affordable Android tablet running Android 3.2 Honeycomb. The Element is Pantech’s first LTE-connected Android tablet. It features a 8-inch XGA touchscreen and is waterproof with IP57 certification.
The Pantech Element is powered by a 1.5Ghz dual-core processor. It sports 5 Megapixel rear facing camera, a 2 Megapixel front camera, 16GB internal memory and microSD/SDHC card slot for expansion. Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity are included.
AT&T will release the phone on 22 January for $299.99 with a two-year contract.

Toshiba announced at the CES 2012 its Excite X10 for the US market (also known as AT200 in some markets and Regza AT700 in Japan), which is the world’s thinnest 10-inch tablet measuring just 7.7mm thick and weighs just 535g. The device has as premium, ultra slim, lightweight design and is equipped with magnesium alloy surface for durability and style. It is powered by a TI OMAP 4430 dual-core 1.2GHz processor with 1GB of LPDDR2 RAM. The Excite X10 features a 10.1-inch 1280×800 HD IPS LED-backlit touchscreen with 10-finger multi-touch support, which is protected by scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass and an anti-smudge coating for greater resiliency. Toshiba announced in Japan a new tablet PC running Windows 7, the Dynabook WT301/D. The 10.1-inch device is powered by next-gen Intel Atom processor with 2GB of RAM and 64GB SSD for storage. The tablet has a 10.1-inch 1366×768 touchscreen with LED-backlit.
The Dynabook WT301/D comes with a 3 Megapixel main camera and a 1.3 Megapixel front camera and supports Bluetooth 3.0 and WiFi connectivity. The Windows 7 tablet offers a USB port and a micro HDMI output. It runs Windows 7 Professional edition.

Korean e-book company is launching in Korea its e-book reading device using Mirasol display. The e-book reader features a 5.7-inch Qualcomm Mirasol display that combines the strength of LCD and e-ink, making it able to display colors and be viewed in direct sunlight.
Kyobo’s eReader Mirasol reader features 1024×768 resolution. It is powered by a 1GHz Qualcomm SnapDragon S2 processor and runs a cutomized version of Android OS. The reader supports WiFi connectivity. |

With the new NOOK Tablet joining the line-up, B&N lowers the prices of NOOK Color and NOOK Simple Touch (known as NOOK Touch before) to $199 and $99 respectively. While the prices are dropped, B&N releases software updates to both of them.

T-Mobile announced the SpringBoard, a 4G-capable Android tablet made ny Huawei. The 7-inch tablet runs Android 3.2 Honeycomb OS on a 1.2GHz dual-core processor. It sports a 5 Megapixel camera with 720p HD video recording, a 1.3 Megapixel front camera, and a 7-inch HD multitouch display. The tablet has 16GB internal memory and has microSD card slot for expansion.
The Springboard supports Adobe Flash and is pre-loaded with services and applications including Blio eReader, MobileLife Family Organizer powered by Cozi, Slacker Radio and TeleNav GPS Navigator, a personal GPS navigation and local search application that provides turn-by-turn voice and on-screen driving directions. The SpringBoard supports Bluetooth, WiFi 802.11b/g/n connectivity and offers HDMI output. It supports tri-band UMTS/HSPA/HSPA+ and quad-band GSM/EDGE networks, including T-Mobile’s 4G, 3G, EDGE networks.
T-Mobile will also release the Galaxy Tab 10.1 4G-capable Android tablet. The device is powered by dual-core 1GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor and comes with a 10.1-inch HD touchscreen.
Motorola Solutions, not to be confused with Motorola Mobility, announced the ET1 enterprise tablet computer focused on retail with functionality to enhance the shopping experience. The new tablet runs enterprise-ready hardened version of the Android 2.3.4 OS, and is designed to be used 24 x 7 by multiple staff members.
The ET1 is powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor with 1GB of RAM and 4GB internal storage. It sports a 7-inch 1024×600 touchscreen with Gorilla Glass, a 8 Megapixel main camera for image capture and barcode scanning, and 720p video recording, a front camera optimized for video collaboration, Bluetooth, GPS and WiFi connectivity. It has a microSD/SDHC card slot. The enterprise tablet comes with user replaceable 4620mAh rechargeable battery for extended usage. Amazon expands its Kindle line with the new Kindle Fire with a 7-inch color multitouch display. Not only a e-book reader, the Fire is a multimedia tablet that streams TV shows, songs, movies from Amazon. Of course, you can download e-books and color magazines from Kindle Store. It has 8GB internal storage and Amazon provides free cloud storage for all Amazon content.
The Kindle Fire is powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor with 512MB RAM. It has a 7-inch IPS multitouch display with 1024×600 resolution and supports WiFi 802.11b/g/n for downloading content and streaming media from Amazon. The tablet offers up to 8 hours of continuous reading or 7.5 hours of video playback. Pandigital adds to its Android tablet line the new 8-inch SuperNova Media Tablet, joining Planet, Nova and Star . The new tablet is powered by a Samsung 1GHz Cortex A8 processor with dedicated graphics engine for enhanced performance for playing games. It features a 8-inch capacitive touchscreen with 600×800 resolution, front and back cameras. The tablet packs 512MB RAM and 4GB internal storage.

iPhone 4S is the next logical step in the evolution of the iPhone 4.
When it comes to looks the iPhone 4S will have the same form factor as the iPhone 4 did.
The major changes include the device’s processor: now it features an A5 dual-core CPU (which was already used in iPad 2).
Apart of this the camera was much improved, allowing for genuine 1080P video capturing.
iPhone 4S will be able to work with both GSM and CDMA networks (reminder: iPhone 4 had different CDMA/GSM versions).
It will support HSDPA+ mobile networks, allowing for speeds of up to 14.4 mbit per second.
iPhone 4S will also feature new Siri technology, which allows for voice communication with the phone. For example it would allow you to ask your iPhone for the current temperature or to send an SMS using only voice controls.
