Along with the IdeaPad Tablet K1 targeted at general consumers, Lenovo is also bringing Android 3.1 to business, introducing the ThinkPad Tablet, a business-class tablet device that combines the media and entertainment experience of the IdeaPad Tablet K1 with the security, reliability and manageability features ThinkPad is known for.

To better accomodate business needs, Lenovo also brings the optional Keyboard Folio Case with the optical TrackPoint for the tablet for fast, comfortable and accurate typing and mouse control. Like the K1, the ThinkPad Tablet is powered by a NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual-core processor. It comes with a 10.1-inch 1280×800 multitouch IPS display with support for ThinkPad Tablet Pen input and Corning Gorilla glass, a 5 Megapixel main camera, a 2 Megapixel front camera for video chat, and 16GB/32GB/64GB internal storage.

Lenovo’s business tablet is available in WiFi-only and WiFi+3G models. It supports Bluetooth 2.0 and sports a 3-in-1 card reader, GPS/A-GPS support, accelerometer, gyroscope. You can find Mini HDMI output, a USB port, a micro USB port and a dock connector.

The 16GB ThinkPad Tablet is priced at $479 without the digitizer pen, and at $509 including the digitizer pen, for Wi-Fi models. The 32GB ThinkPad Tablet (Wi-Fi model) with digitizer pen is $589. The optional keyboard portfolio carrying case is available for $99. It will be available for order in the US starting 2 August 2011.
